Instructor Terms

When you sign up to become an instructor on the Psycademy platform, you agree to abide by these Instructor Terms ("Terms"). These Terms cover details about the aspects of the Psycademy platform relevant to instructors and are incorporated by reference into our Terms of Use, the general terms that govern your use of our Services. Any capitalized terms that are not defined in these Terms are defined as specified in the Terms of Use.

As an instructor, you are contracting directly with Psycademy, operated under ManoYug Well-being And Education Ventures Private Limited in India.

1. Instructor Obligations

As an instructor, you are responsible for all content that you post, including lectures, quizzes, coding exercises, assignments, and other materials ("Submitted Content").

You represent and warrant that:

  • You will provide and maintain accurate account information.
  • You own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to authorize Psycademy to use your Submitted Content.
  • Your Submitted Content will not infringe or misappropriate any third party's intellectual property rights.
  • You have the required qualifications, credentials, and expertise to teach and offer services through Psycademy.
  • You will provide a high standard of service.

You warrant that you will not:

  • Post any inappropriate, offensive, or infringing content.
  • Engage in unauthorized advertising, spamming, or solicitations.
  • Use the Services for business other than providing instructional content.
  • Interfere with other instructors or violate our Trust & Safety Guidelines.

2. License to Psycademy

You grant Psycademy the rights outlined in the Terms of Use to offer, market, and distribute your Submitted Content. This includes:

  • The right to modify Submitted Content for accessibility and marketing.
  • The right to sublicense content to third parties.
  • The right to apply AI models to improve user experience (unless opted out).

You may remove your content at any time, subject to limitations stated in the Promotions Policy and other agreements.

3. Trust & Safety

3.1 Trust & Safety Policies

You agree to comply with Psycademy’s Trust & Safety policies. Psycademy reserves the right to remove content, suspend payouts, or terminate accounts if:

  • An instructor or content violates our policies.
  • Content quality standards are not met.
  • An instructor engages in behavior damaging to Psycademy’s reputation.

3.2 Co-Instructors and Teaching Assistants

You may add co-instructors or teaching assistants but must comply with our guidelines. Violations by co-instructors may impact your account.

3.3 Relationship to Students

Instructors do not have a direct contractual relationship with students. You agree to:

  • Use student data only for instructional purposes.
  • Not collect additional personal data outside the platform.

3.4 Anti-Piracy Efforts

Psycademy partners with anti-piracy vendors to protect instructor content. By default, you authorize us to enforce copyrights on your behalf. You may revoke this authorization by contacting us.

4. Pricing & Revenue Share

4.1 Price Setting

Instructors set base prices from available pricing tiers. Psycademy may adjust prices based on promotional programs.

4.2 Transaction Taxes

Taxes may be added based on applicable laws. For mobile purchases, app stores handle taxation.

4.3 Revenue Share

  • Instructors receive a percentage of the Net Amount after deductions.
  • Instructors using coupon codes receive a higher revenue share.
  • Payment is made in INR or applicable currencies.

5. Payments

5.1 Receiving Payments

  • You must provide valid banking details.
  • Psycademy reserves the right to withhold payments for legal or compliance reasons.

5.2 Refunds

  • Students may request refunds as per our Refund Policy.
  • Refunds granted after instructor payouts may be deducted from future payments.

6. Trademarks

While an instructor on Psycademy, you may use Psycademy’s trademarks under certain conditions, but not in a misleading manner.

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account, but previously purchased content will remain accessible to students.

8. Updates to These Terms

We may modify these Terms periodically. Continued use of Psycademy indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
